A2Z Scraplets February Sketch Challenge

WOW, this year is flying by so quickly that we are already a week into February.  I have a super busy week ahead of me this week finishing off some study, getting DT commitments done & preparing for my baby girl to turn 4 on Sunday, so just a quick post for you today to let you know that the FABULOUS  A2Z Scraplets February Sketch Challenge is up and running for the month so why not head on over and join in for your change to win some gorgeous chipboard products

This gorgeous sketch was created by Liz Weber

This is my take on the sketch

And quickly - what I did with the Chipboard Heading
I coloured it with smooch ink, then using a paint brush & some water I went over the smooch to get it to blend a bit better and then covered it with Glossy Accents.  It looks great on the LO.

Thanks for looking and I hope that I was able to provide some inspiration.
Have a great day :)

A 2 Z Scraplets Blog Post

Well I have done my very first blog post as a DT member over at A 2 Z Scraplets.  For those of you who don't know A2Z Scraplets is an Australian & operated chipboard company that makes awesome chipboard products for all your papercraft needs, and they also make custom products.  I am very excited about being on this Design Team and am absolutely loving it so far, the other DT members are a very friendly bunch of girls and the owner of A2Z is lovely, it is such a pleasure as this is my first DT experience and it is really nice to be part of such a wonderful team.  Anyway enough about that.  I wanted to show you what I have created for my blog post

Head on over to the A2Z Blog to read about how I created this fabulous sparkly chipboard and all the things I put it through.  I had heaps of fun creating this LO and I hope that I have provided some inspiration for you.  Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a wonderful day :)

Happy New Year

Well I would like to start off by wishing everyone a very Happy New Year.  I hope that you all enjoyed your New Year celebrations and that the New Year brings you all that you desire.
Secondly I would like to apologise again for being M.I.A.  As most of you know the Christmas season sends us all into chaos and I just couldn't seem to find the time to scratch myself let alone do a blog post.  Although I did recieve some exciting news last month.............. I applied for a DT position with a well known Australian chipboard company A 2 Z Scraplets.  This is the first time I have applied for a DT position and I was thrilled when I recieved an email telling me that I had been successful.  My DT commitment starts this month but I was so excited that I forced myself to stay up later then usual and complete a layout for their December Sketch Challenge over on their A 2 Z Scraplets Blog.  The December Sketch Challenge is now closed but be sure to keep an eye out for the January one.  I am very excited about my creation for that one - can't share it with you yet though :)

This is the sketch for the December challenge

This is my take on the sketch

I have used the A2Z Scraplets chipboard cogs in this LO and I have used perfect pearls and glossy accents to create a rusty distressed kind of look (photos don't do it justice).  I have also used a plastic disk which I have stamped a Kaszazz stamp onto with Archival Ink and then clear embossing powder.  This stamp matches the Kaszazz paper that I have used in this LO.

I have used Prima flowers on the LO as well and created a decorative pin.  I am absolutely loving the way that it has turned out.

Thank you for looking and I hope that you have enjoyed this post.  Don't forget to check out my blog candy and I hope you have a fantastic day :)

LOVE

I have been working on this layout for about a week now - after finishing the first part of it I just couldn't work out where to take it next.
It is actually done on a wide canvas that I have turned upside down so as to make it like a frame.
I absolutely love how it has turned out.

I have used a sketch as inspiration and it is the October challenge over at A 2 Z Scraplets

This is my take on the sketch :)

I have used modelling paste on the frame to give the texture which I have then spritzed with a combination of Smooch Spritz and Glimmer Mist.

I absolutely love how this has turned out and it is made even more special to me because of the subjects of the LO - my Grandparents who mean the world to me, they are a huge inspiration of what love is and should be.  They are such wonderful people whom I love dearly.

Thanks for looking, hope you have a fantastic day & don't forget about my blog candy giveaway :)

Just a quick one

Ok so I have been very slack on the updating of my blog, but in my defence, I just haven't been creating as much as I want to so I have not had anything worth blogging about.  Well anyway I have a couple of new layouts to share but I am hoping that I start turning out a few more because I have all this gorgeous scrapbooking stuff - and I keep buying more so I really need to start using so that I can justify all the spending.
This is the first layout.  The photo was taken on the May Day long weekend this year when we went to Cape Hillsborough for my Grandparents 80th birthday.
I absolutely love this photo!

The title for this page has a lot happening on it that doesn't really show up in the photo.  It is a gorgeous A2Z Scraplet chipboard and it has embossing, modeling paste, crackle paint, smootch ink, design adhesives & foil as well as kindy glitz.  I love how it turned out and it looks heaps better in real life then it does in this photo

The next layout is of a photo that was taken the same weekend and I love this photo because it looks like she is sitting on the rocks deep in thought, when infact she was in a bad mood with me because I told her that it was time to go and she stormed off and refused to look at me front on.

This LO actually took me a few weeks to complete because I did the majority of it, then decided that I didn't like it but I liked the colour scheme, and the frame around the photo so it got completely reworked.  I still don't feel like it is finished because it doesn't have  a title but I have no idea what title to give it so it just has to be one without a title.  Hopefully one day a title will come to me and I can rectify the situation.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for looking, and I promise I am going to try harder to get more posts up on here.
Have a great day and don't forget about my blog candy giveaway.  :)
